Have you tried it with friends? I'm not too big on MH myself, but it's still enjoyable with others.

I mean, that's the only logical explanation for how MH4U ended up being my second most played 3DS game.
I bet they will F up the PC version of the game... just like "from software" F-ed up the Dark Souls 1 port :P

Yep. Friends and my wife. Never could get into the game. I think the controlls were one reason why as well. That and I never like grinding games and MH is one of the most grindy ones I can think of.

Oh yeah, it's definitely bad with grinding. I liked the gameplay loop enough to not mind it, helped that I had friends to carry me.

As for the controls. I used bows almost exclusively and I quite liked the way it handled. Didn't really like the guns all that much, mostly because they didn't use the fps controls.
I'll buy it. They didn't put this on consoles for years. Maybe around the wii u thing. 3DS was good also.
The only Monster Hunter game I have played was Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate on the 3DS, but got stuck during a non-optional main story mission early on where I was expected to carry an egg across the entire level while being chased by respawning velociraptors.

If I got hit while carrying the egg, my character would drop it, the egg would smash all over the ground and I had to start the whole trek again.

This one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mission prevented me from ever seeing the part of the game that everybody loves to praise the living ♥♥♥♥ out of (fighting giant monsters in an open world setting, or what ever) and I am never playing another Monster Hunter game ever again.

I didn't pay $60 to haul eggs around and be chased by dinosaurs with no way of defending myself.

Title sounds like a clickbait article
Wait.. Really? That's some great news!
Looking forward to it. Has been a while since there was a MH on PS.. Missed that alot.

The announcement trailer just incase someone needs it:

I'm ready. I've been playing the games since 2005 and have been wanting an MH on pc seemingly forever now. Unfortunately I have some skepticism towards this trailer. Of course the video isn't long and doesn't show much, but it looks like they might have stripped out some core mechanics of MH and replaced them with something maybe more Souls-like. I don't know, it's just the vibe it gave me. It looks good technically, but that's never really mattered too much in the franchise up until now. Who knows, maybe something new would help the series. I'll keep my hopes high but I'll reserve my judgement until we see more.
Yeah, MH trailers tend to be sth. like 'flashy' fights / chases, they rarely ever show the real gameplay. I wouldn't invest too much thought into the trailer, as the gameplay probably just has a new/improved stealth mechanic and probably sth. related to that grapple. Core gameplay will be definitly as usual, it's not like they can change it that much. At least that's what I would assume.

As for PC, Monster Hunter Online is a thing, even tho not in Western Countries. But it's also sadly a very very simplified MMO kinda thing. Too bad that didn't really work out that well.

Cant deny it,
Grinding game is a grinding game especially quick packed one,
Not sure how the actual gameplay footage will look like.
Goodbye Toukiden, hello again Monster Hunter, my one true love.
