Are MX Browns quiet?
I might get the G.Skill 780 RGB MX brown. The problem I have with my current blue switch keys is that they are loud. My mic picks it up and will the browns pick up that easy?

Here is a demonstration video of sound levels of different switch keys:

No, they are not. If you want quiet, don't get a mechanical keyboard, let alone CherryMX.

The Romer-G keys from logitech are probebly the most quiet ones you can get, with out modding the keyboard in some way.

If you want quiet, then here is a list for you.

If the issue is with the mic picking up the keys, then it may be a better idea to get a better mic that you can either focus in a direction away from the keys or one that can cancel out the noise they make.
I bought one with Gateron Red's.. It's decent and not too loud.

But you can get the one with LED backlights for a little more, get that one instead.

Anyway, I only bought it cause of it's price.. I wasn't willing to spend more than $30 on a keyboard. Surprisingly it's done nothing , other than getting used to the reverse/upside down enter key, for me to be mad at it.
