Fallout??
So I've heard of the game Fallout and I know they've already come out with Fallout 4. I've never played this game and I don't really know much about it. I'm mainly asking if this game is worth getting and if it's good. Also, if I get it, should I play them in proper order (meaning playing the first Fallout before moving on to the more recent ones)? Please let me know.

i've only played New Vegas and Fallout 4 .. i started with New Vegas,
There are some references to older games in some way.. like older history or lore.. but not so much that you would be unable to enjoy playing Fallout 4 as your first.

You could start with Fallout 3, at the oldest, if you wanted to. Anything older that that is a whole different style of game. i'm not a total expert! But just sayin!

You also might get more help if you ask this question on the Fallout 4 forum. ^.^

Fallout and Fallout 2 are the only true Fallout games imo. But you might not like the overhead view and chess like gameplay ;) Brotherhood of Steel is decent. Played that long time ago on Xbox. Same gameplay mechanics. Fallout 3 is kind of boring. That was my last game for Fallout series. I hear the newest one is also a bit boring.

They're all individual stories, and other than deeper knowledge of the world and the lore, there's no need to play the older ones to understand the story of Fallout 4

You need to have a pretty decent computer to play Fallout 4, of course. Make sure you meet the store requirements for the game before you buy it, please.

Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4 are all great. The older games are good also, but a bit different than the later ones.

Fallout 3 may have issues running on a newer operating system, and this is warned about on the store page for Fallout 3. There are some good tweak guides in the game forum, though.

If you're into isometric rpg's then perhaps you can start with Fallout 1 and 2.

I think all of the Fallout games are pretty good, excluding Brotherhood of Steel.

I'd suggest getting both 3 and New Vegas first. They're both probably the best of the series, even though the fanboys are always at each other's throats.

4 is also good. Not as strong in terms of being an RPG, but it's still a solid game in my book.

if u are into open world games, it can be good for u. but any game (including fallout 4) cant make fun for u. if u dont feel fun, it is empty, pixelated nothing.

1 and 2 are CRPGs focusing on story and stuff more than combat
3 is a FPS witth the fallout name on it (Still a-ok)
NV is a mix of 3 and 1/2 (Arguably the best one)

4 is more of a story based shooter, I haven't played much nor liked it enough to want to play more.

Fallout 4, specifically, is probably one of the best games I have ever played. I have never seen a more customizable, compelling, moving game. I have looked for many games like it but haven't found any. This won game of the year for a reason. You can play the games in different orders, they all have about the same background: a nuclear bomb hits and you have to survive in the wasteland. But they all have different characters, storylines, etc. All in all, the Fallout series is definitely worth every penny, especially the newer games.

I played fallout 3 it was my first fallout game and then layer I tried nv and then I wanted to see how fallout 2 was it took me a while to get used to turn based and I mostly relied on either the super sledge or pulse rifle and or pistol also I can hardly live without power armor
