Games that you consider masterpieces and why?

I belive that games are art but there is also games that are masterpieces and I would love to know what games you think are masterpieces and why. The games I find are masterpieces are Bioshock infinite because Its story and scenery and I love spec ops the line Its story is just amazing it has great plot twist and more then one ending and It has a beautiful scenery

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. mainly because it's white wolf's "world of darkness" setup - no sparkling vampires, modern times add to intensity and in-game community (fractions) seem to be realistic. the story is also nice but i won't spoil that.

i also REALLY like diablo2, world of warcraft, warcraft III, fallout 1&2 and few other isometric rpgs

Wolfenstein combines great story with awesome weaponry and gore. The old blood is amazing as well. Easter eggs are always present and really fun. A real gem on this store.

Okami: Beautiful graphics, awesome atmosphere, music, story, replay value... seriously, if you haven't played it already.... well, play it.

Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn - While not the first RTS game, it was one of the groundbreaking ones when strategy was still mostly turn-based.

Guilty Gear XX #Reload - one of the most accessible and at the same time deepest VS fighting games with 23 unique characters, some never-seen-before mechanics, beautiful graphichs and a great OST. Xrd Revelator is a worthy successor.

The Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky I and II - while more sufficiently entertaining than groundbreaking gameplay-wise, it is a great coming-of-age story with intensive character development, great humour, a cast to fall in love with, topped off with lovely visuals and a great OST.

Such an innovative feel to the rpg hack and slash genre that would later spawn a whole bundle of games much like it, including the subgenre "soulslike" games.

The Last of Us - Truly one of the greatest games I've ever played. I hated that bratty little ***** in the beginning, yet by the end of the story I actually cared what happened to her. Great story.

Red Dead Redemption - A greater wild west era game could not possibly be made. Good story, and it included literally every aspect of the wild west you could ask for. The lasso was especially fun to use.
