Yeah I also saw that we got a poser here maybe IT means a laptop version of GTX Titan Z and this is not a desktop or maybe they transferred their Laptop CPU to their desktop just like someone I know who did the same thing
i thought that would be impossible because pin setup is different but i could be wrong (not for the first time lol) but it does seem suss though with the laptop chip.
I know a guy who bought a GTX 780 and transferred Alienware MOBO and CPU with it I think

First off wouldn't matter whether you know some guy that did whatever, He was saying he was using an LGA 2011-v3 MOBO Which means it is a completly different socket and pin setup than that processer even uses it would just not work, at all. And where are you even getting the idea that there is a laptop version of a titan z the dang thing needs a minimum PSU of at least 700w that isn't going to happen on anything less than a desktop. Secondly Laptop cpu's are generally soldered to their respective MOBO, The MOBO's are specially made to fit in a mobile apllication even if you buy one to put together your own laptop it's almost always the MOBO and cpu.

Not disagreeing with your post but in actual fact laptop CPUs are not soldered on (otherwise there'd be no need for a socket) and laptop cpus can be upgraded (within quite strict limits) but yeah, your spot on with everything else.
