You'll need to SLI two high end cards because not even a single 780ti can play Crysis 3 @ 1080P Ultra 60 fps.
For Crysis 3 and especially Battlefield 4 it does. It will in future next gen games as well. Ubisoft recommends an i7 or an 8 core for Watch Dogs as one example.
Are you high?
Hey, here's a thought. Why dont you own the card or look at some benchmarks before you post such a useless response.
Crysis 3 @ Ultra settings is not possible with a single GPU @ 60+ frames which is what the OP specifically asked for. With FXAA you'll average 60 with nothing going on but as soon as a firefight starts the game will dip and stutter. And you can forget about any form of high end AA that doesn't make your game look like it's covered in vaseline.
Is it playable? Yes, but the OP asked for 60+ frames maxed out.
Or were you referring to my comments on HT?

"Processor: Core i7 3770 @ 3.5Ghz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0Ghz"
Battlefield 4 does benefit from 4+ cores and a large number of next gen games will as well (IE: Watch Dogs). Next gen consoles have 8 cores for a reason.

I have a GTX 770 , i5 4670k, 16 GB RAM and run this game at max settings with 35-45-55 FPS.
But to run Crysis 3 at max settings with 60 FPs... Hell, you would need two 780 ti's... O_o
I have an i5 4670k and run Battlefield 4 with 1080p Ultra settings at 60 FPS.
I was referring to your graphics card analysis, and it can run on the 'Very High' preset which I gather is ultra in Crysis 3 with an average of 73 and a minimum of 61 using an i5 3570k with a modest 4.2GHz (I don't know if Crysis 3 benefits from an I7 or not). {LINK REMOVED}http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/07/nvidia-gtx-780-ti-3gb-review/3.
I totally agree with you about next gen games requiring extra cores/threads etc which I knew already. Nevermind, I forgot he said 'Maxed' not ultra. Sorry, you're right, It can't run it maxed with 8x MSAA etc above 60.
The thing is you need to look at a frametime analysis. Looking at standard benchmarks that just analyze FPS will show you the game @ 1080P, Very High, no AA 60 FPS average. However the game will experience a lot of stutters and drops during firefights. This has been an issue with the Crysis games since the original and you really do need an SLI rig to not have those annoying dips and stutters. I think that Eurogamer did a nice analysis on this.
When Total Biscuit made his 'WTF is Crysis 3' video he even said he needs to turn down some settings on his Titan otherwise the game doesn't feel very smooth.
And yes with any form of MSAA (not even just 8x) but even 2 or 4x the game takes a big performance hit. As you said "maxed settings @ 60fps+" to me means everything is ticked up including a decent level of AA with a consistently smooth 60 frames.
Anyway, with all that said. Crysis 3 on 'high' alone is easily the nicest looking game I've ever seen.
When did I say you couldn't with an i5 =)
All I said is that HT and 8 cores in BF4 net a performance boost.
