My brother-on-law, however, has stopped using it due to receiving a defective product then having to ship it back twice (@ $15 each time, one time to Newegg, one time to the Manufacturer). They said they couldn't find anything wrong with it, but when he got it back, it had bent pins (not sure where as it was a newer mobo) that were not there when he shipped it back (USB port was bad). Luckily he had photos to prove it. Send it to the manufacturer the second time, got a new replacement board.
if any components dont work you can contact support and they will ship a new part when they recieve the damaged one
However, like anything u buy u need to do your homework and if u are building a system, try to get all the basic needed parts (what is needed to power it up and basically run it) at one time, so that should something not work u will be within the return policy. Spreading out a build order due to low funds is just asking for troubles. As some like to go this route and I always can't help but shake my head when I get a customer coming in who says they did this. If u can't afford to buy enough in order to get a system up and running when u make your order, then it can obviously wait until u have enough cash to make the initial build all in one order (or at least very close together with the timing of purchases).
Above all just know the details of what you are buying and what is involved in dealing through the manufacture support/warranty/rma services should u need to go this route.
I mean they DO NOT verify that each component they sell is in working quality when they get it from the manufacturer. To do so would be making new goods into used good and breaking all sorts of packaging seals and trade regulations about the sale of new goods.
I've had to send stuff back to them both due to their fault and due to my fault. When it's their fault so far they have paid for shipping and everything in full.
It's always possible that one day they'll drop a brick on my foot and then refuse to pay for the return (and I have heard some people complain of this in a few bad product reviews) but it has not happened so far. I hope it does not happen.
Generally I try not to worry too much about the "quality" of the retailer but rather the quality of the products I buy and I just buy them from whoever has the sweetest deal, Newegg or otherwise. Most places offer courier shipping to my door. I live "relatively" rurally so it does take a while but usually never too long.
If I need some new electronics or computer parts tomorrow and Newegg has the best price on whatever fits the bill then I'll buy it from them, if they don't have the best price I'll buy from NCIX or whoever does.
