Gaming PC Build
I think I've come up with a build on my own, I'm unsure if the MSI 760GM-E51 (FX) and the ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 work with the AMD FX8350 and the Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Tri-X OC though. Can someone please confirm that? If no, or if there are any other problems with those MoBos, which MoBo would you recommend? It should be compatible with the CPU and the GPU mentioned, should support DDR3-1866 or at least DDR3-1600 and should support at least two GPUs in a crossfire setup.

First of all, yes I'm reposting this thread though it's slightly different since my budget changed once again, no idea why the old thread was locked, would be nice if some mod told me. If I'm breaking any of the forum rules, please tell me.

Anyway, my budget is limited to "only" 1200 euros (~1,650$), that's all I can spend on the PC. For some parts, I have already decided which ones I want, for some I haven't:

CPU: AMD FX8350 (8-core 4 GHz)
GPU: Radeon R9 290x (optimally with wc) / GTX 780Ti
MoBo: Should be able to run at least 2 GPUs with SLI/Crossfire
Cooler: watercooling would be optimal but isn't absolutely neccessary
SSD: ~240gb
RAM: 8 - 16 gb, 1600 MHz or more
Optical Drive: anything will do
PSU: at least 750 watt, 80+ Gold and fully modular
Case: Full Tower preferred, especially if you're unsure whether the hardware would even fit.

I live in austria, the prices are pretty similar to german prices here, you can use this website[geizhals.at] to find the cheapest prices for hardware in austria though. Thanks in advance.

In austria, those would cost 1500 - 100 euros... I told you, set the region to germany, prices aren't the same :/

There is no way to get PC you are describing with R9290X or GTX 780 Ti for only 1200 euros.

Well, I thought like

CPU: ~160,- €
GPU: ~500,- €
MoBo: ~100,- €
Cooler: ~060,- €
SSD: ~140,- €
RAM: ~080,- €
Case: ~060,- €
PSU: ~100,- €

Total: ~1200,- €

Wouldn't that be possible?

The R9 280X is plenty of power for gaming though.

You don't need a full tower case. Some midi tower case can still do the job.

http://geizhals.at/antec-three-hundred-two-0761345-15320-1-a725893.html

antec 302 supports graphics card upto 12.5 inches. msi gaming edition 280x will fit inside.

http://geizhals.at/corsair-carbide-series-300r-cc-9011014-ww-a710805.html

Again should fit without problem.

http://geizhals.at/corsair-carbide-series-300r-mit-sichtfenster-cc-9011017-ww-a823654.html

windows version if you like that stuff.

Minus the OS & HDD i would spend it on high quality quiet case fans.

I am NOT getting the 280x, I already decided on either the R9 290x or the GTX 780Ti

Really is that your response. Because i don't care which graphic card you get, your 290x or 780 ti will fit as long as it's not the triple cooler fan. I don't know why you are getting angry at me because i am just going with the build above. I am also begining to get annoyed with you recreating your thread again & again. When people already have given you advice already, now it just seems you are ignoring what they've said to you and lashing out at people who suggest otherwise like the person who suggested the intel build in the other previous thread you created.

Well, if I knew which GPU fits which case, I wouldn't be asking for help here. Also, of course I get angry if people not only ignore my decisions but are blatently obvious about it. I do not care if you prefer Intel's i5 series over AMD's FX CPUs, I've already decided on that.

I know my budget is sufficient to build a PC with the hardware I chose, all I want is someone to recommend the best build possible withing my budget and the boundaries I set, I have no idea why everyone who posted on this thread failed to do so...

then raise the budget or pick a cheaper gpu

770 is still a very strong card for about half the price of the 780ti

Ok, now I'm really pissed. I just tried to come up with a build on my own, it took me less than 10 minutes to choose all the parts, I just need to make sure the MoBo is compatible with the other parts, even if it isn't, I have enough money left to get one. I have no idea what you guys are doing on this forum, but if you are too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid to come up with a proper build, don't post your "recommendations", if I had trusted them I would've ended up with a much worse CPU and GPU.

Edit: I take that back partly, it seems Rumpelcrutchskin has come up with a good build, gj

People are posting what they feel is a proper build. Just because you don't agree with it is no reason to get angry about it.
