Should i overclock.

here's what i can tell you about my PC

it is:

inspiron 660s
inter(r) core (tm) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30 ghz 3.30 ghz

8gb ram (custom installed 7.88 usable)

64 bit.

Ok so the only game i really EVER play is tf2 and i run it at 20-60 fps on dxlevel 90 now i'm fine when its 60 fps but 20 is a nono. Are there any tips for fps apart from chris frames I HATE IT the binds are so annoying.
So should i overclock


P.S i'm upgrading at christmas ,but i dnt plan on selling this pc.

I don't recommend overclocking as the cooling capacities are limited at best. May be possible with an aftermarket CPU cooler, but good luck installing that into a slim case. The airflow is bad enough already.

The i3-2120 is a CPU with a locked clock multiplier. It isn't intended for overclocking. Doing so (if it's possible at all) will only allow for slight overclocking and mess with other components too, not just the CPU. It's not recommended at all.

If you really want to overclock you'll need an Intel CPU with a K at the end.

a overclocking pc is okay but you need the right equipent for it then you bought the pc...dont turn a standard pc you bought to even think i can overclock...sooner or later files or memory data will be corrupted

I dont think that overclocking a cpu would substitute a grafic card.

First rule of overclocking:

If you can't afford to replace your system, don't do it. If anything goes wrong, you may end up having to do just that.

You do know what geforce graphics cards are intended for,right? it isnt the best but its the best thats compatible with my pc.

Geforce is a brand of cards. It does not mean gaming card. What model is it? Usualy if it has X50 or more, it is for gaming. If it is X40 or less, the lower you go, the worse for gaming.
