or from SagerNotebooks.com (which are custom Clevo bare-bones that they customer for the customer's wants/needs).
Just ensure you are getting good warranty coverage and an OS.
As with alot of custom laptop choices, they often are shown with a minimal warranty by default and often times, no OS included until u add that in.

They are telling you about each of the brands there. What more do you want.
Trust me, I've seen the actual branded no-name crap that comes out of China, those are not any of that.

Anything is better then buying the crap that comes from CyberPower or iBuyPower
Sager
MSI
ASUS ROG
Clevo supplies them with OEM BareBone Customizable Laptop Kits.
But IMHO, I would really look hard at the ASUS ROG and MSI GT series of Laptops.
But yea nothing wrong with Sager/Clevo; very good as well.
-expensive
-size not practical
-borderline formfactor case with screen attached to it.
I have my custom rig at home, and when im at school/on the road I use my lenova yoga 2 pro because the .15in thickness and 5-7hr battery life.
IMO: laptops are ment to be carried and used in the field or when not near a power source.
As for actual laptop, I would say to go with a mid to high end Asus, Sony, or my personal favorite: MSi and their amazing Gaming laptops.
I repair and rebuild laptops and PCs for a living, and MSi is one of the best gaming computer laptop and component company right now, I dare say even beats out the Asus offerings (Asus has been declining in quality over the last 5 years while MSi has been going up). I have an "MSi Dominator" with an i7 and GTX 880 8GB in it (it will play everything on ultra for the forseeable future). I got it because it had a much better cooling setup (exhaust and intake in the back) than the Asus at the time (bottom intake, side exhaust) and you cannot beat 8GB of VRAM for gaming, especially when hooked up to extra screens. The thing that kills laptops the quickest is improper cooling and dust, so it always amazes me that so many laptops still have their fan intakes on the bottom when they really should have the intake and exhausts on the top, back, or sides.
Now, if you need something that is highly portable and has good battery life, then you will have to stay away from the "gaming" laptops as they all pretty much have terrible batteries that may only last 1-3 hours. If battery life is more important than gaming power, then I would say get a mid grade Sony or Asus or MSi work laptop.
Someone reccomended the MSI GT72 Dominator-216 for me to get. What would you say to that
Looks good to me. Even has displayport plugs for 120hz+ refresh monitors if you want to plug it into one. And the intake and exhaust have nice big openings on the rear. Just make sure you keep the power plug in the laptop bag with it.
