I think you'll be able to run it on medium-low since the 860 isn't such a powerful card.

Your gpu is below the minimum performance specified. So the performance *will* be low at best.

Take the time to consider this:

Where are the minimum specifications?

How would a GTX 770M do?

Are the system requirements based on 1080p? I have the same laptop so I hope I can run it too. :sadelf:

They still have plenty of time to optimize it and system requirements have been exaggerated for games lately so I have high hopes.

Your gpu is below minimum specs so you might be able to run it but it'll overheat your pc so you can't play more than 15 miuntes at a time safely.

Your CPU is almost 1GHz under minimum spec requirements. Because of that, you will definitely not be able to run it. Gpu will render it, then nothing will move.

You also need a minimum of 8Gb ram.

Yup, it's based on 1080p (or at least Ubisoft games are).

I remember waiting for Watch Dogs and the minimum requirements were higher than my laptop, but my laptop still ran it on low with 30-40ish fps. I don't remember if I was running it on 1080p or 720p though...

So, my guess is, your laptops will run it on low, but probably lower than 1080p. But keep in mind this is just my guess and I am not a hardware guru. And CDPR is still optimizing their game so many things can happen.

Humn.. Mate, when a GPU is lower than the required, the worst that can happen is low FPS. It will not overheat and fry the PC like your comment makes it look like.

i also got a laptop with: i7 4710HQ, GTX860m, 16GB RAM, WIN7 64bit. i can run all latest bigger games like Dead Rising 3, CoD: Advanced Warfare, FarCry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, The Crew and Dying Light AT LEAST @ 720p on med-high setting smoothly. i think witcher 3 will run as well on these settings.

you will be able to run the game just fine.. The i7 4710HQ ramps up to 2.7 ghz per core with hyperthreading and 3.5 ghz in quad core mode.. I have An asus Rog 751 with pretty much the same specs as you .. Without any tweaking etc whatsoever i run GTA 5 at max everything with high textures and get an average 38 fps.. the witcher while more demanding is very scalable.. I suspect you will get a good medium setting experiance with your laptop. do make sure its clean and your air is flowing well and you should have no problems.. Oh yeh the min spec is a 660.. so yes an 860 IS min spec and should work fine

Does minimum spec mean that you will play the game on ultra low settings with AA, particles, and all the extras turned off? Will it look like total crap? Or does min spec just mean it will look "just okay"?
