Besides, why do people always make fun them? Like who the F cares about the card sizes. If you buy any GPU without knowing it'll fit and connect up fine, you didn't do your part first before buying
I think Nvidia has 2 choices and these arent good. either cut down the 5090 or cancel it completely.
My theory is they may be canceling the 5090 because they are apparently launching the 5080 first wich is really unusual.
or they may be trying to buy themselves time to make a cut down version of the 5090.
I sincerely believe NVIDIA will leave the massive gap between the 80 and 90 tier like they did with Ada.
I think if they do come out with a 5090 it will be very cut down because the way it is now the heatsink would just be too damn big.
i wouldnt be suprised at all if they cut it down and went with the same core count as the 4090.
but then again they could simply cancel the launch of the 5090.
either way its not good for nvidia.
and F over all the investors and stock holders... LOL yea right.
They can't just up and do that when they already stopped making new 4090 and 4080 month or so ago.
Like Bad Motha said the size of the GPU inst a issue unless you personally make it one
