PC Freezing and Keyboard shutting off! after getting NEW PSU Need Help!
I am encountering a issue where my keyboard shuts off and computer comes to a complete freeze which I only encountered after switching to a brand new PSU

its an upgrade to a new 1000 Watt PSU from a 750 and it only happens every once in awhile in a game.

it doesn't happen in Benchmark stress tests.

I had armoury crate and removed it since the last time thinking it might be that or ai suite that caused it, but incase it happens again is their anything you can think of?

just happened again without even playing a game or anything.
Something that I still see on some PSU's is the "ECO" mode button/switch which can cause this issue. :badluck:

don't know if it has it but it has an extra button on the back, the new PSU is an MPG A1000G PSU

I don't like the looks of that "Zero Fan" toggle button. :badluck:

Is that thing pressed in or is it popped out?

I am starting to suspect it may be an expansion slot issue

I have a pretty mangled pc case, in order to fit my card Into my case I basically got rid of the section and also at one point the clip meant to keep the card in place also came off I have been able to use both for a while but I am starting to think I need to buy a big new case.

also sometimes I have to reseat the GPU just to get the PC to turn on so its gotta be that.....god putting a PC together is a pain in the ass.

Like I said I don't have the PCIE card clip which you can be without but I don't have the card screwed in either.
yea, dont push in the 'zero fan' button
looks like its fan profile is only to output wattage not heat/temp

not all modular cables are pinned the same
be sure to keep the cable with the psu they came with

even same brand and sometimes similar models have differently pinned cables

edit:
if the case is damaged you should get a new case for the build

Yeah I think I am going to have to get a new case.

yeah did more testing its definitely the case the graphics card isn't slotted properly enough, one of the pcie cables was pushing across the glass and when I would close the glass the card would move, I bended a cable a little bit and put it under the other one, guess what issue stopped.
Perhaps some duct tape is all that you are missing. :blueduck::csd2smile:

Go for a case that is big but also has a removable GPU bracket (or even better, a fully modifiable case), thank me later. :chirp:
