Probably only really worth it if you are really aiming to have a super-quiet PC, and even then you have so many other noise-producers (other fans, GPUs, PSUs) to worry about that it might not even matter that your CPU cooler is whisper-quiet.
What is the benefit of that over the regular first generation one? Lol nvm it sayus right in the title its reccomended for amd, i think im gonnna just get the dark rock cuz 50$ extra for amd support is crazy
there is sect here , they will getting angry if you build PC expensive, where you can buy cheaper
i think you should wait thermalight
it'll work on intel as well, it's just that there's 3 different models with a different base convexity. one works with both intel and amd, one is better for flat CPUs like AM4/AM5 and the other is better for LGA1700. though like i said, G2 costs way more than the older D15 without a very significant change in temps
I ended up buying a Dark Rock 2 one of the 35$ ones cuz i got the 5700x that doesnt require that much i didnt realize i cant overclock it
set PBO with a 200mhz increase and do a 0.2 voltage OFFset.....see where it gets you....these are the settings i run but note that every 1c you go over 72c you will drop off by 100mhz.....
