Noctua NH-D15 or the Dark Rock Elite Pro
I am looking at these two CPU Coolers I was going to get the thermalright phantom spirit but its 80$ on Amazon now since people are buying it up for Christmas. (Good job Thermalright!) Just can't decide which of these two to get now that thermalright isn't an option. Guess it really was a great cooler for the price considering its the same price as the top end ones on Amazon now

The NH-D15 is an insanely good cooler but it is huge and pretty expensive.
Probably only really worth it if you are really aiming to have a super-quiet PC, and even then you have so many other noise-producers (other fans, GPUs, PSUs) to worry about that it might not even matter that your CPU cooler is whisper-quiet.

the difference is so slim that wouldnt make performance issue anyway, so choose the cheapest one,

there is sect here , they will getting angry if you build PC expensive, where you can buy cheaper
i think you should wait thermalight

G2 performs measurably better than the previous model but i don't think it's worth the massive price difference. just get the older model of the D15, or you can even go for the D14. i don't know much about be quiet! coolers so i can't comment on those

it'll work on intel as well, it's just that there's 3 different models with a different base convexity. one works with both intel and amd, one is better for flat CPUs like AM4/AM5 and the other is better for LGA1700. though like i said, G2 costs way more than the older D15 without a very significant change in temps

I ended up buying a Dark Rock 2 one of the 35$ ones cuz i got the 5700x that doesnt require that much i didnt realize i cant overclock it

5700x should do 4.8ghz on the boost tables if you set up PBO right and can keep the CPU under 72c on temps.....i have one....mine runs 4.8ghz all day long with a thermalright frost tower that is really a assassin 120 with better fans.....

set PBO with a 200mhz increase and do a 0.2 voltage OFFset.....see where it gets you....these are the settings i run but note that every 1c you go over 72c you will drop off by 100mhz.....
