T16000m fcs controller not detected in steam

Hey guys.

I have been trying to get steam to detect my thrustmaster t16000m fcs (not hotas) and I have done the following after doing extensive research and nothing seems to help.

1. Used different USB ports (3.0/2.0).
2. Uninstalled and reinstalled latest t16000m fcs drivers from official thrustmaster site.
3. Unchecked generic gamepad configuration support.
4. Looked at multiple forums/threads/discussion boards for multiple strategies.

I am absolutely baffled that steam does not detect the t16000m fcs??????
I have windows 11 installed and the latest t16000m fcs driver supports windows 11.

How else can I get steam to recognise the t16000m fcs flight stick?

I also have a thrustmaster, steam tells me there is no controller detected and I have never bothered to connect it. Its installed and calibrated in windows and all steam games use it and I configure it in game, never had an issue.

Hey, are you both on Windows 11?
I have a T16000m FCS as well, but mine works just fine.

Use it when I play Elite: Dangerous (horizions).

Have you tested to install the latest drivers and software from Thrustmaster??


Sorry, just read it. But it seems you need a controller that is "supported" by steam.
Like an XBOX controller or PS4 or similar..

Mine is the same Windows detects it and calibrated and all steam games that support flight sticks detect it but the ones that don't and have planes/heli's etc in them the steam controller emulator is required (I think). So how would you get your thrustmaster t.16000m fcs to fly planes/heli's in say GTA5 when it clearly does not have options for flight sticks?

Yep I am on Windows 11 and my T16000.m fcs works fine as well it's only in games that don't support flight sticks e.g., gta5, bf2042 etc that have planes/heli's in them.

Yes I have installed the latest drivers from the official TM website support sections where you download the drivers. In the drivers notes it says you have to run the driver update twice (one to uninstall the previous driver and one to install the latest driver) sounds silly to me.

Funny you say about supported controllers. My friend has a logitech G Extreme 3D Pro Joystick and that is not on the steam supported list and steam is able to detect his??????
