Is there a reason you don't want to use displayport?
it is an old monitor it does display 4k at 60hz via displayport. i need to use hdmi because it is an xbox one x
thanks
Hmm, well I don't know much about consoles. Not the display and not the cable?. Maybe there's a setting in the console? I don't know much about those. Maybe someone else can help with this.
thanks for trying to help cheers
What is the brand and model of that particular display?
ASUS PB287Q
thankyou!
Also double check the Settings within the Xbox
1. The HDMI port on the screen is not capable of doing 60@4K (This is suprisingly common)
2. Your HDMI cable is not capable of doing 60@4K
3. Your PC HDMI port is not capable of doing 60@4K
Check the HDMI versions of everything. For 4K 60Hz you want HDMI 2.0 or higher.
HDMI 1.4b can also do 60hz at 4K, but you will have to turn down the subsampling to 4:2:0.
imho, with the x1x its not a huge difference, when gaming the x1x will need to do alot of tricks to hold its fps above 30 at 4k anyway
display scaling, blurring, blending, tearing etc..
with a fast internet connection, using ms cloud play would be better at 4k imho
My guess is either the monitor, or the GPU can only display/output hdmi 1.4
Last page, 4k60Hz is exclusively supported over DisplayPort. HDMI can only do up to 4k30Hz.
i should research before i post. thanks
Really?
My android TV is 4k 60Hz. My GPU can do that with no issues.
