High ping when raining?
I'm going insane with my ping, I live outside the city, this is a group of fancy houses, however we don't have fiber connection yet, I have ADSL and my pc is connected to the router via ethernet cable. I'm alone at home and no one is using the internet but me, however it was raining today and the german server I was playing in (usually 95 ping) gave me minimum 200 and it was jumping up to 300, please tell me if rain has something to do or my company is trash (there's no other)

It could be both the rain and your ISP.
When it is raining there are more people indoors, and thus more people using your ISP resources.

In Germany you should be able to 'churn' to another ADSL provider if your ISP turns out to be dodgy.

It might also be underground cable...

Oh I don't live in Germany, I was playing on a german server, so should I call the provider and ask what's wrong with my ping?

When I had DSL it also slowed down to a crawl when raining. After we switched to Cable we had no issues.

Ye but we have no fiber in here, and the biggest facepalm is this low internet is more expensive than fiber for someone living in the city

rain can cause issues if has bad connections

check the phone lines ect.. for any corrosion or water near the lines

Does your provider use RG 6 cable ? There are special watertight end connectors that should be used in exterior areas, and if not, that can also cause issues but other users here have given good suggestions also.

So my only solution is to wait until fiber gets installed in this place? :steamsad:
Report the issue to your ISP and Telco.

There is NOTHING strangers on the Steam forum can do to fix the cable.

Also, try playing on local servers. You said you weren't in Germany.

I will do that, and I can't choose the servers I play in CS:GO, thanks for the time.

Apart from checking everything in your home and on your end as far as connections, then perhaps yes.

Here where I live, the customers responsibility stops at the junction box outside my home, so I can do what I want after that point coming into my home, you see.

I found a bad wire once under my house and fixed it. The shielding was bad and so you can see how that can cause issues perhaps.
