Retro PC
Media Server PC
DJ Rekordbox PC
Streaming PC
Music Production PC
Illicit Browsin PC
And I'm sure you can think of more...
You got a Storage Server PC
Or maybe you need to teach another how to get on a PC and do PC stuff...
A hot wire cutter
a small welder
or several other devices that will burn your house down if your not careful.
lots of the plugs can be reused, cables fans, even the old computer cases can be chopped up and riveted into new designs and shapes to create more futuristic pc cases.
over all i try to never throw anything related to pc's away, you never know when you will need something
Like recently, I upgraded to a 5950x I found cheap, my uncle got my 5900x, I sold my uncles 5800x on marketplace, I could have gave it to my aunt the 5800x as shes on a 2700x, but that 2700x is way more than what she does with the system, so I sold it.
Now back then I bought a 6800xt for too much, I found a 3090ti at a good price, and my brother was on a Vega64, At the time the 6800xt's were going for $1,000 new, I "sold" it to my brother for 500 on payments which he only gave me $20 and thats all I got after about a year of him owning the card, He had a issue with his PC and I took it home to fix it, I reposed the card and gave him a GTX1050ti, I sold the card for $300 on marketplace. I bet he wont pull that crap on me again lol.
I not like giving my adres and dealing with rando's online and spending all that time for 10 more or less..
if a system broke (which did happen) well those systems are still laying in my basement broken as they were back in 2006 and 2008;)
I must say though that I do miss SOME of my old hardware now especially the pc as I had in 2000.. with my 21 inch crt.. and while I gave it away for free to a charity ran by somebody now dead.. so no way to trace where it went and if they still have it..
