How do I get Switch Pro controller's gyro/accelerometer recognized as virtual axes (openSuSE Tumbleweed)

I really want to play some non-steam games by tilting the switch pro controller, however I can't get gyro recognized as axes. Tried to install joycond, but it only messed stuff up (the gyro kinda worked, but buttons and sticks weren't recognized).
