Gigabyte Brix max fan speed?

Help! My Gigabyte Brix starts with the fans running at 100%. They weren't doing it this morning but they are now for some reason.

Have you changed any settings or anything? If you have changed anything AT ALL, then revert it to how it was this morning.

I reset it and it. It ran normally until I started playing games on it. I played some Counter Strike and my temps were quite decent then the fans went up full blast again!! I quickly shut down the computer and turned it back on right after with normal fan speed. I don't know whats going on. Maybe I'm tripping a sensor? I could go through and replace the thermal compound if that factory stuff is garbage.

Try to never force the power off when system is under full loads, or when CPU/GPU temps are high (like above 60*C or so) as then it will take a long time for the components to cool down after system powers off.

What GPU software do you have installed if any? Such as what Gigabyte provides (or perhaps MSI Afterburner). See what the GPU temps are reaching when the fans are kicking into higher speeds. Maybe it's just high temps that are triggering this, which is actually quite normal as means of ensuring the GPU remains cooled. You can also try a manual GPU Fan Speed % via software such as MSI Afterburner (or similar). Long as that manual speed is enough to keep the GPU from not hitting near the max of around 95-100*C

So you are just using AMD APU with onboard GPU? No dedicated GPU card?
Yea get a better CPU cooler, the stock AMD ones are terrible at best. Them being loud is quite normal and nothing u can do about it. They are small and ineffective, get a decent 120mm Cooler, like a Hyper 212 EVO. Very effective and won't break the bank.

It's a Brix. I would have to cut a big hole in the top to even install a fan mod. I could use an arctic breeze though.

Lol good luck putting EVO into a brix. Anyways maybe you can try replacing thermal paste on it by an high quality one that may help a bit.

Well its not a bad concept but I agree with bad motha at this point. I wanted a PC that could play a few games, saved energy and was small. I decided to return it. Don't get a Brix unless it's Intel.
