even when the pc is off, its still supplying +5vsb for usb and mobo power button circuitry
if its not too lage return the thermaltake psu, they are very poor
many do not have working protections, or are improperly configured
or ripple/noise levels can get out of spedc and damage other components
pick up a corsair, seasonic, xfx or antec if you can
so, aside thermaltake not being very top psu, this is normal what i described?
most that have coil whine, will be silent at idle/low load, and whine with higher loads
so if it is brand/series related, no point of getting it replaced with same one, right?
what other brands did they offer?
avoid coolermaster and diablotek too
they have a few fsp/cwt built psus (good)
