To fix that Intel Ethernet port try installing the latest drivers from the Intel website.
If you search this issue, you might come across someth. like this, where the poster ultimately went out and got a 10 dollar Ethernet adapter card. Hopefully this won't affect to you that extent.

if it has different rev, check that too some can use slightly different nic driver
gigabit is intel, 2.5g is realtek
get both lan drivers

That said, only recently did I get a router that supports 2.5 and it only does so through a SFP cage so that was an additional $25.
