Only "pro" with the XBONE controllers is Wired being optional so they can be used either way.
Xbone controllers have a much better D-pad.
The cross-style D-pad on the Xbone controllers is much less prone to accidental inputs when sliding your finger across it than the one on the 360 controllers. It’s why, along with wanting a wireless solution, I upgraded from the 360 controllers on my lounge room PC.
8BitDo is better in every way, and cheaper.
Here is another option.

Does not have BT support, however it supports the 8BitDo 2.4Ghz USB Wireless Dongle, Wired USB Type-C and also allows you to toggle between X-Input vs Direct-Input
This is the same controller I got this earlier year.
Its' the best hassle free, comfortable. long battery life controller I have ever owned.
I would definitely look into it if you like the xbox layout, some prefer the PlayStation
controller layout with both sticks symmetrical but I just love this 8BitDo.
You should have returned the entire product right away.
It's is such a pitty the Nintendo decided to trash their own Wii's by turning off the network.
I played Deadrisig and Resident Evil on the Wii and loved both, but find both unplayable on the PC due to the controllers.
For one thing, with the Wii, you could point just by pointing at the TV, rather than trying to mess around with a second analog joystick with one hand while moving with another in the first hand. And for guns, seriously, isn't points and shooting a lot easier than what-the-heck-ever?
Also, I'm let handed, so with the Wii controller and Nunchuck you swap the two halves just by swapping which hand is in which. So being left hand practically fixes itself.
I start to try to put together something that would let me use the Wii controller to maybe control my PC, but then I forgot that the only way I knew to get the Wii controller stats off the Wii was via the Wii network, so with that down, it's an even bigger project than it would have been otherwise.
I hate the way in general the whole damn industry just copies itself and has so little options.
I'm 59 years old, so I have no experience "growning up' with that Playstation/Xbox type controller in the first place - for kids, I'm sure it's much more natural - like a QWERTY keyboard, but that just doesn't apply to people my age.
I've also found it nearly impossible to find a laptop I like. The f'ing mouse is below the keyboard on like 99.9% of all models? WTF? I don't want it there. I want the keyboard to extent to the bottom of the laptop so my wrists don't end up on the useless finger-swipe-mouse...
With more of an open market, I suspect they'd be more laptop without that mouse there, but there aren't.
