Reference the manual for your Xonar SE

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Audio_Card/Xonar_SE/Q19789_Xonar_SE_QSG_V3_WEB.pdf?model=Xonar%20SE

Connect the "front L&R" output (jack number 2) to your Creative A250 stereo input
Connect the "Side surround" output (jack number 3) to your Speedlink Gravity 2.1 stereo input

It's not a great solution because you're not using an actual surround speaker set which will be separating out Front L/R, Side Surround L/R, and Center/Sub channels. But it should work if its correctly connected. I'm guessing you have them connected to jack 1 and 2 which jack 1 is the microphone / line in jack (not an output).

EDIT: Also make sure you've installed the latest driver for the Xonar SE, and ensure your audio output settings in Windows 11 are configured for surround output.

thx for your help!

You should be able to select quadrophonic or 4 chanel. Choosing 5.1 will have missing audio due to no center speaker connected. Quad will work as intended. It was the precursor to 5.1

yea, most 2.1 are really stereo with stereo mix lfe for sub
5.1 uses 1 headphone jack for center/sub, if its not connected those will be missing
