Help with Mobo Bios / Cmos
I fitted a new Mobo to PC Model B550 Gaming X V2, Socket AM4 ( 1331)
CPU= AMD Ryzen 5 4500 ,
When i try to boot into Bios via delete key I just get a black screen with commands at the bottom ? think it is the Q flash bios screen , from the the Gigabyte drivers section there are 3 download Bios options , i do not know what to do with them , i have installed one into the Win 10 it shows in the Control panel , but i do not know which is the best one and or if I should save it to USB stick and use the Qflash Bios / Cmos , any help most greatfully appreciated , thanks Stigga

Unhook all drives.
Then power on the system and enter the BIOS.
Thanks but it did not work , i get this at the bottom of a black screen when using delete key to go into cmos
DEL:BIOS SET\Q-FLASH F12:BOOT MENU END: Q-FLASH
I`am thinking of using clear cmos and hope that works ?

That's what I want to know.

If it's that F14 BIOS update that is needed, the option is Q-Flash (but that's my guess OP is attempting to get it running initially, but the BIOS needs a higher revision - who tf knows at this point).

Yeah, sounds like he's trying to update bios. If that's the case he should probably save it onto a usb drive and update it that way with q-flash or whatever his board has to update it's bios.
This is a new build with new motherboard on first boot , I`am trying to get into the Cmos to change a few things, press the delete key on boot up then it just goes to a black screen with this on it at the bottom
DEL:BIOS SET UP\Q-FLASH F12:BOOT MENU END: Q-FLASH

Just use the motherboard pins for clear cmos or remove the coin battery after power disconnect from wall.

I thought so too then I re-read the OP post "When i try to boot into Bios via delete key I just get a black screen with commands at the bottom "

Seems like a BIOS loop

The way I'm reading it, the delete key takes him to that screen, but I don't remember him saying he pressed it AGAIN at the actual screen.

If at that screen, del button does nothing then yeah he should reset bios.

Thanks for your response , yes the delete key takes me to the black screen as you said and then none of those onscreen commands work
DEL:BIOS SET UP\Q-FLASH F12:BOOT MENU END: Q-FLA

I will try reset Cmos

Try plugging your keyboard into a different port? Matter of fact, you have a different keyboard to try?

My question is which mobo is it because there are three of them.

Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 (rev. 1.3) or (rev. 1.4) or (rev. 1.0/1.1/1.2)

@.@
It is labeled Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 rev 1.4, the download site is not very clear on which one to down load and how to install.

Is it a usb keyboard or ps/2 one? Do you have another keyboard to try?
