None of the current VR hardware or software developers are going to make what you ask for because it is nausea inducing for the vast majority of people.
Well, f**k. :(
Because I want the immersion of playing games in VR without having to keep my view/head completely steady. I dunno if that even makes sense, honestly. Like I think it'd be cool to have my entire view encompassed by the game I'm playing. I mean, if you really think/know that it causes mass nausea, I'll take your word for it. I'd just like to try it for myself, but apparently even that isn't possible.
OR you can do this use the projector as your monitor and sit 3 feet from the screen loll

Pair the controller and audio to the mobile device and be close to main PC for little network issue.
VR Headset Usage Without a Traditional Monitor:
-VR headsets require initial setup via a PC monitor.
-For laptop users, VR headsets can effectively expand the viewing experience.
Pros and Cons:
-Pros: Large screen experience, multiple virtual monitors, compact size, fewer distractions.
-Cons: Inferior image quality compared to monitors, discomfort during prolonged use, keyboard/mouse usage issues, potential eye strain, real-life detachment, and high PC requirements.
Best VR Headsets for Monitor Replacement:
-Oculus Quest 2: Affordable, decent resolution, but requires comfort modifications.
-HP Reverb G2: Higher resolution, better visual clarity, but more expensive.
VR for Gaming and Movies:
-Applications like Virtual Desktop and Bigscreen allow mirroring PC screens for gaming and movies.
-VR headsets are suitable for occasional gaming and watching movies, including streaming 2D games.
Working in VR:
-Comfort issues make prolonged work in VR challenging.
-Applications like ImmersedVR and Oculus Infinite Office aim to enhance productivity in VR, offering features like virtual monitors, keyboard mapping, and collaborative tools.
The concept of using VR headsets as monitor replacements is intriguing, with specific applications like gaming, movie watching, and some work scenarios being more viable.
