very rarely, im old links on desktop, and i made my own home page with links i commonly use

I use it all the time. If a website is useful to me, and if I want to return to it at some later date, bookmarking is the easy way.

I have hundreds of bookmarks, I use bookmarks even if i simply browsing amazon/eBay and notice a good product, just 1 click saves it, and then i can view it at some later date.

Once in every few months, i clean old bookmarks which are no longer useful/relevant.

How do you sync bookmarks from computer to iOS device and the opposite way too ?

If possible.

Not chrome.

Well, on desktop you can export your bookmarks to HTML. Then hook up your phone and try to drag-n-drop maybe?

I do this w/jpeg and videos when my phone is hooked up via USB connector. But have never tried an HTML doc.

or manually, i use ex explorer on android to copy files form pc via wifi
with wireless charging you never need to plug it in to anything

I still use them. I never stopped. I did get somewhat disappointed (?) or annoyed (?) or whatever you'd like to say when the bookmarks started getting nested and you had to re-enable them or whatever. Firefox did did many, many years ago and I was like "why?".

I use them, especially since whatever is bookmarked gets suggested when I type in the address bar which helps me save time.

I use browser bookmarks. You can use some other utility to organise bookmarks for links and anything else. As for syncing... Firefox has Pocket and that sort of stuff, but it requires an account and your data would be in the cloud.

I recommend looking into some way of syncing directly between devices, but from my experience (yours may be different), you almost never even need to access bookmarks across devices. For that rare moment I need to check something out on the phone or vice versa, I send myself the link in a message and that's it. For files, I use a certain file transfer protocol, Samba is usually used for that sort of thing, but do your research if you want to use something else.
