Be Quiet! AIO refilling question.
It's time to refill my AIO watercooling but there is a bit of liquid left in this thing. Can I just refill it with another liquid or do i have to completely empty it somehow?

Edit: I use the Be Quiet AIO 360mm. It's literally refillable.

It's all copper, from what I can tell, so distilled / deionized water should be fine.

Can i mix it with the already existing liquid?
I don't see why not, since the mixtures main component is Deionized water.
However, I personally would see how much is left, if it's more than half full or 2/3, top it off, if not, flush it all and fill it with Deionized water.

AIOs often come with mixed metals that would cause galvanic corrosion (eating the metal from the inside out), but have a coolant mixture in them that combats this, and I don't know if you can buy the coolant mixture used in them.
If your AIO had dried up a significant amount it's probally better to just buy another AIO / High end air cooler.

You didn't specify model (and I didn't know BQ! made AIOs), so I thought it was a generic AIO.

Not sure why you would need to refill it yet, unless be quiet suggest's it's done every X months, which is probably overkill regardless, I would guess it uses distilled water, so, to be on the safe side you could flush it with a load of distilled before refilling it with distilled or what ever specific fluid they suggest (probably an own brand pre-mix?) just not tap water.

Drop in a few drops of anti growth agent and you probably won't ever really need to refill it again, maybe a slight top up after a few years, the reason you tend to need to refill custom loops is if the colour used in fluids drops out causing issues or algae build up etc from contaminating the loop without an anti growth agent, which, in a aio, won't really be an issue as there is no light to promote such action.

Check the manual...you know, the booklet that comes with all the answers to the stuff you buy?
Ursprungligen skrivet av manual:
Due to the risks of corrosion and growth of algae, the use of tap water is not advised for topping up. We recommend instead the special coolants offered by firms such as Alphacool, Phobya and Aquatuning.

It says topping up, so no need to drain, flush or clean it.

Lay the case motherboard side flat and then remove the fill cap on the radiator, if you can see the fluid right under that cap, then it's fine and no reason to top-off the fluid.
