wired and bluetooth?
It seems like this dongle does not support in any way bluetooth connection to gameplay controllers.
So "all bluetooth hardware" is another money abuse advertise. Because all it matters is money
so note to myself:
next time buy chinese 3$ copies because that poop is working.
That video you linked me to actually helped a lot. Here is what I did.
First I uninstalled the driver (ScpDriver.exe)
Secondly I swapped port of the USB bluetooth so it won't load same driver just in case.
Then I started the program the video described.
The item for me is called ASUS BLUETOOTH DEVICE.
Installed Driver.
Then started ScpDriver.exe and installed the driver as well.
And from here on it just simple worked for me.
Other than following the linked video you need to install the official Xbox360 controller drivers before the system detects the PS3 controller.
Edit: my dongle showed as BCM20702A0 in Zadig
This thread is gold.
The only difference is that you need to open ScpServer at the end, some log information will load and then you just need to mark your controller (Pad 1), and then click "Pair" at the bottom, all this needs to be done with your usb cable connected to your PS3 controller, after pairing simply unplug your cable and enjoy!.
After this you can also open ScpMonitor and the Host address will appear and so your controller information (This does not appear before using ScpServer).
Thank you again for this thread, I hope you guys can fix it as well, greetings ^^
THANK YOU!!! I have tried to solve this problem for 2 full days, your method worked for my ASUS BT400;) Huge thank you!
Thank you all! It took me forever to get my Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth adapter to work properly with my PS3 controller. With the help of the thread and this post in particular, I finally got it to work!! Thanks everyone!!
Device Manager -> Bluetooth -> BT400 -> Propereties -> Driver -> Update driver -> Choose own driver -> Let me choose from a list -> press the "disc exists" -> go to folder "driver" in zadig map and choose BMC20702A0
For some reason i had the BMC20702A0 driver in the zadig map, it probably got there of the failed installation attempts with zadig.
Manually doing this will override windows own attempt to keep the latest driver installed.
Hope this helps to anyone who still has the problem.
/C
then i shutoff the pc, pulled out asus bt400 and turn on pc.
pushed the ps button and it work without the asus bt400
because i also apply the generic bt driver onto the wifi/bt card.
oh well i can always use the dongle on a laptop.
Just get a cronusmax mate - www.cronusmax.com. You plug it into your pc and it gets installed as an Xbox 360 controlller. You then plug your bluetooth dongle in to it and synv your ds3/ds4 or wiimote with it. The pc doesn't even know the bluetooth dongle is there and you don't have to worry about any dodgy bluetooth drivers messing up your system.
As I said before, it also makes the pc think my playstation controllers are xbox controllers so I don't need any custom or dogy third party drivers at all. Everything is done via the hardare.
