PlayStation controllers work too with SteamInput but you might need an Xbox360 emulator to use it outside of Steam. Also Steam offers customization support for PS controllers too. (via SteamInput)

I like the Steelseries Stratus Duo and 8bitdo Pro 2.
Keep in mind that it heavily depends on the game if they added a PS button overlay / PS controller support. If they dont you'll see xbox controls.
Edit: i dont get the xbox / ps war. I have both controllers and the only diffrence is the thumbstick dpad swap. Both feel comfortable to play with.
I have to agree. Sony and Microsoft ones really aren't that good anymore.
If you want an official Sony one, get a DS4, not a DS5
I will keep on eye on DualSense Edge and PC support.
