If you care about privacy, look into grapheneOS
Anyone else here using graphene? Running it on a pixel 4 and looking to upgraded to the pixel 6a this year. Have you converted anyone? I converted my dad and my brother, and working on my friends.

If you dont use graphene, why? It functions just like android but doesnt also harvest your very soul

Pixels, especially the latest devices, are spooky due to Google's direct involvement with the hardware. I understand that it's the "base" model for AOSP, but I am sure as hell not buying one just for a customised install.

LineageOS already has a few enhancements over AOSP, and simply not installing GApps (Google Play Services bundle) is a huge improvement by itself.

I still indend to replace my current device with a PinePhone, or, perhaps, FairPhone with a Linux distro as opposed to Android. I don't think any bare Linux distros have been customised for my device model, but I indend to get rid of it anyway.

I have a Pinephone, used it as my primary phone for ~2 years, the software is still quite unstable. Imagine major bugs such as the phone not ringing when someone calls or the OS just straight up breaking when updated.

Fairphone's are nice, I just so happen to have bought a Fairphone 4, because people kept complaining they often couldn't reach me when calling to the Pinephone. It was a minor effort to get UBports installed to it.
