Minecraft modded clients

Hello, before we start, of course this isn't a minecraft forum and Steam doesn't even support this but I'm looking for people who created minecraft modded clients for help.

I am a Java learner who started 2 years ago and I challenged my self with projects using other libraries so I am some what familiar with this. Can someone help me start out with just providing some resources that helped out a lot for you? I am looking to make something along the road from the minecraft libraries that were provided

Modded clients, you mean cheat clients?
or do you mean hacked clients (that allow you to play without an account)?

Modded clients are shady.
A lot of minecraft players got hacked and their accounts stolen because they trusted a modded client. (not just their minecraft account, but a lot more).
They were hoping the client was the best cheat client for use in 2b2t for example, but ... yeah.

I don't recommend going there, but-- I suspect you have interests in cheating in game without others knowing you can do more then they can. (for example track their location or see where diamonds are or something)

Just play the game.
and program in an actual mod if you want to add 'fun' to it, like, idk... some random mob.
Its always a good idea to keep an eye on balance, because if you add an item that makes you immortal and 1 hit everything, the game stops being fun, except for those who want to be better than other players (easy mode). .e.e;;

I was thinking more about for their convenience sake, like a pvp mod. Not a cheating client. I really don't see the point that you wouldn't just give out some useful recourses. If I wanted to cheat, I would install cheats and not try to recreate my own. This is for my learning, not just to go ahead and ruin some kids day

Minecraft is generally closed source. That said, its easy to decompile.
It maybe best to look at existing projects and minecraft vanilla itself by decompiling stuff.
