Settings for Logitech g231 to hear setps in cs:go?
Are there any settings for Logitech g231 headset you use to hear sounds better in cs:go?

I can set the volume for different tones in my motherboard's driver, I think that would be the way to go, but I don't know wether I should add more volume to lower of higher pitch tones.

My teammates are always telling me to get a headset, but I already have one, and it is starting to becom akward :/

If I understand your question correctly, I would suggest just adjusting your equalizer settings to highlight the sound range you're wanting to hear more. I would knock the bass back just a touch and work with the 1K and 4K range to see if that will enhance the sound of the footsteps. Now, this isn't set in stone and resutls may vary. The higher ranges may boost the sound of footsteps more than the midrange adjustments.

If I see it correctly, that is a stereo headset. A surround headset is good for positional audio, and it may be that type that your teammates may be suggesting.

Basically all headsets are stereo. No one really makes surround headphones or headsets these days. What you're most likely looking at is marketing misrepresenting virtual surround and/or making it sound like a feature.

Anything stereo can do virtual surround.

Very true, Revelene. I have a G633 headset and, while I know that it's virtual surround, I do like it over straight stereo when gaming. However, because I'm old school (the 80's were my hey day), I do appreciate straght up stereo when assaulting my ears with excessive decibels when listening to music. :D

Thank you Delta Brabo, that is exactly what I meant, and the answer I was looking for :)

Talby, I would also like to thank your answer. That's a very in-depth guide you have sent me. It's a shame I can only mark one comment as answer :/
