Try uninstalling the Wired LAN device in Windows and then go download and install the latest Driver and install that. What Motherboard are you using?

Do you have a motherboard with killer lan by any chance? I had issues with their software when I first installed my motherboard. After a bit of digger on their webstie, I found a driver only install which solved all my issues.

Sounds like it could be an irq conflict or you are using the wrong interrupts for your hardware. Maybe try enabling MSI or adjusting irqs.

The days of that non-sense is over. Modern OS don't use that limitation.

There's not such thing anymore.

No such thing as irqs and interrupts?
OS handles everything of that nature automatically unless it’s manually set not to. Been that way since Windows ME.

Quick fix, get an intel gig card like this[www.amazon.com] for under $20 which will actually improve performance since the majority of realtek on-board gig cards utilize a tad bit more cpu due to the driver and cost-cutting hardware.
