Don't buy from freshtech. My work ordered a PC from them once, multiple parts broke down. They forgot to include and install an OS and their customer service departmart is a madman chasing you down the street with a baseball bat.

The service I got from them makes steam support look lightening fast as when the GPU died after just 2 weeks, they made me remove it and send it back. It took 2 months to get it replaced. Even then, they only replaced it after we threatened to report them to Amazon.

The i5 6400 and gtx 960 is fine but I think if he could find a tower like that with a newer Rx/gtx1xxx gpu he'd be better off.

As an owner of a FX6300 don't even think about it...go Intel. The FX6300 barely competes with the i3
