Is 3060 12 GB VRAM for $730 on eBay worth it?
Seller doesn't allow returns but it is backed by eBay Money Back guarantee and card is brand new. I know it's $300-400 above MSRP, but then aren't most cards these days? Reviews were happy, only negatively rating the value, for obvious reasons.

"Worth" is in the eye of the beholder and is contingent upon how badly one craves it.

I don't think it's worth it at all but then again, I can still get by OK with what I have. If you don't have that "luxury," it becomes more tempting, particularly as the price is in the three figures versus the more typical four figures you see a lot for the higher tier ones.

If I was thinking of getting this, I would investigate the return policy more in-depth, in what eBay says in the fine print. What if the card is DOA?
I was actually curious how it fares against my current 2060 Super in terms of performance? It's definitely overpriced considering a 3070 or 2080 Super would usually go for that price, but even those cards themselves are selling for $1200-$1800, so nothing is considered a "normal, fair price" right now.

Also, my CPU is still a 6 year old i5 6400, and I only game at 1080P, so the unnecessary bottleneck and overkill might not even be worth it. I am considering building a new PC though, so looking to get a decent enough new card for a what is considered right now a "reasonable" price.
Why is everyone wanting to buy a GPU or build a PC when the damn GPU never sold so effin high ? Just sit the f** on it and wait, you're not going to die this year and there will always be GPU's when all this is over. Set your goal to build your PC next year and scrape more cash till then, you'll only end up with a better pc.. or GPU in the end

Edit: oh and btw I personally would never buy a used GPU on Ebay... or anywhere just my 2 bits

Pretty much this, so since this is entirely a subjective thing, my opinion is this; the RTX 3060 (non-Ti) is a pretty sub-par value even at MSRP (I know I'm judging it harshly but I have pretty high standards for mid-range cards measuring up to what they've traditionally been best for, and they've been super disappointing on anything more recent than Pascal). I wouldn't even pay MSRP for one and I have an older GPU than you (GTX 1060), so no, I wouldn't spend OVER twice that on one. What little value it even has goes completely out the window considering you're on a RTX 2060 series.

Then again, the fact that you're asking probably means you have far less of an opinion against it than I do, but since you're asking and this is an entirely subjective thing as quoted above, that's mine.
i think for you is not worthy because you ve already got RTX 2060 . So , spending so much for just 20% more FPS , i dont think it s worthy but it s up to you !

A regular 3060 is slightly faster then a 2060 Super, so 2070 Non Super in power. Not worth the cost. There's as reason they are supposed to retail around around $300 USD.

Time is worth infitely more than money, so if you can afford it, and can justify it by it giving you joy, then waiting for a cheaper price is a net negative choice. There's always something better around the corner, usually for less, but it's rarely a good reason for postponing a purchase. Life's too short.
2060 is currently 475 to 525 euro's and highly worth it.
Lol no, currently you can pick up RTX 2060's brand new for £400.

400 pounds is 471,91 euro's , quite close to what I said. It also depends on which website you get it from.

No way. Never at that price. Since you have a 2060 super it's a definite no. I managed to get a rtx3060 for $399 and it was well worth it. No way would I pay $700 though that's insane.

It has better ray tracing performance than your 2060 super, though. More performance, more tech like pcie 4 and resizable bar support. Much more vram too and the vram is faster at 15ghz.
The 3060 plows right through cyber punk I know that.

Most people that don't like the 3060 are usually salty about the cards vram. To me that's not a reason to dislike something. Besides, nvidia can only do 6gb or 12gb and they're not going to put 6gb again so.. I had cyber punk consuming 9gb of vram with 1080p and full rtx so it will use it.
Cheers

Yeah, no, I decided against it. After comparing the price to much more powerful cards that DO MRSP at that price (3080 and 2080 Ti), it's just not worth it.

As someone who's not a major fan of the RTX 3060 series (especially the non-Ti), it's not because of the VRAM for me. It's because the midrange, the x60 tier in particular, is typically where the best value can be found. Not only is the RTX 3060 a relatively poor value, but the price points themselves have also gone up. IMO the RTX 3060 should be $249-ish and the RTX 3060 Ti should be occupying the $329 spot the non-Ti currently does. If this sounds crazy, remember that the x70 was at the $329 price point not many generations ago. But, the last half a decade has really shown me we are in changing times for GPUs.

By the way, not at ALL trying to ruin your enjoyment of something you clearly are happy with, which is all that matters, so I am happy for you on that. Just explaining why I feel the current RTX 3060 is not all that great because it's not really about the VRAM at all but rather the poor value, as I'm typically a midrange buyer who prioritizes that as I don't often have a lot of money to routinely spend on something like that. In the case of the RTX 3060 Ti, it's a better value, but it's priced rather high for the midrange and is "iffy" on VRAM. So most people are basically against it because it's barely a mid-range product in price while bringing up the performance a bit lower than it should have. Not "awful" mind you, but definitely not great at what the product segment is usually good at.
