How to use Intel HD graphics?
Hello there,

I am the guy who had an issue with the graphics card on the laptop which it has an overheating issue. Finally, I have decided to use Intel HD graphics but I don't know the way to use it. I have an i7 7700 as processor.

I have the dedicated graphics card diaabled to avoid being functioning but I don't know how to put Intel HD graphics as my main graphics card and use it.

Anyone can help me, please? Thanks.

Just unplug your monitor from gpu and plug it into one of the video ports on the motherboard (hdmi, dvi etc). They should be a bit higher up and usually positioned sideways.

I havent done this before myself, but im pretty sure this should work, although you may need a restart.

Disabling the Nvidia should make the intel default.
Otherwise go to device manager > display adapters and disable the nvidia ( dont uninstall as it will just auto install since its still connected) make Intel default
reboot.
Edit
as this is a laptop and you are not using an extra screen ie monitor.

I have unplugged the DisplayPort cable and I have plugged a HDMI cable to be able to use the external monitor with 60hz set for the integrated graphics.

I have disabled Nvidia dedicated graphics and rebooted the laptop but I still have Nvidia on the Device Manager - Display adapter.

I use an external monitor for the laptop.

Ya, I have laptops and PC that I clean and maintain in my family, try going into device manager look for the device and disable it.

Follow these steps to disable the Onboard Integrated Graphics:

Enter BIOS Setup.
Go to Advanced Menu.
Go to Chipset Configuration Menu.
Go to Internal Graphics Menu.
Set the Internal Graphics Mode to Disable or choose PEG/PCI instead of Auto or IGFX. ...
If you also have a Multi Monitors option set this to disable.

START > Control Panel > System > Select the "Hardware" tab > Device Manager > Display Adapters. Right click on the listed display (common is the intel integrated graphics accelerator) and select DISABLE.May 14,

I would like to enable integrated graphics and keep Nvidia dedicated graphics disabled but I can't find chipset configuration in bios, it's weird.
