If you go to Steam > Settings > In-Game
Then find "in game FPS counter" and turn it on to top left or top right (whichever you prefer)
Then play some of the game and let us know what that number was showing on average, and if it went way low when you got choppy gameplay. If that number is fine the whole time then I think we're looking at network lag instead.
If that number is low, like below 30, you should try to adjust the in game graphic settings down lower until that number comes up and the game looks smoother.
This is a very basic netbook. It can browser the internet, I wouldn't even attempt to game on it.
I am suprised that it is struggling with Brawlhalla through, it's not exactly a demanding game. Must be the lack of RAM.
There is sadly nothing you can really do here, this laptop is simply not powerful enough to do any gaming.
I had an old Toshiba NB-505 netbook from a while back, and it could game some indi games, especially ones that don't rely on fast gameplay like FTL or some other like hacking puzzle games. But yea, other than that gaming on it was a struggle.
I did find something online that suggested my Firewall could be the problem, I assumed this could be one of the problems based on the complete loss of internet connection and after troubleshoot of internet there is always a explanation that the gateway was not available or a driver was missing. I have gone in an reset my firewall to allow communication in and out with Steam, and hope that atleast that will be fixed...but from what yall say it sounds like the lag or choppy gameplay is something i will have to deal with until i can afford an actual gaming computer :(
Thank you for the information and suggestions on the issue tho, and I will still set up for the FPS counter and post that so we can see what that looks like. thank you again

Here's a curator for low spec games just as a starter.
Based on the computer specifications that you shared earlier the only solution is literally to buy a computer with better specifications than your current one. Your performance can't be improved any further than what you're getting currently because your hardware is extremely underpowered.
But that's a big leap to get into a totally new OS, even though linux has come a long way and is very usable for regular stuff as well as gaming these days.
And Roblox I believe doesn't run at all.
But if it helps anyone that wants to know if Steam can be installed on a Chromebook and run well, the answer is yes, it does....and you dont have to be a genius to figure out how to do it
Well hey if that works you could try using WINE. It's basically a compatibility layer between a windows program (a game in this case) and linux. You'd have to download the windows version of steam and run it with WINE if I remember right, but a lot of games will work right out of the box really well with WINE, especially the ones that aren't as 3D intensive. I remember doing it a few years ago and Civ 5 worked great with almost no tinkering. I think WINE keeps a list of games and how well they work and how much tinkering is needed for each one.
And don't think because you had to look some of that stuff up that it takes away from what you were able to do, even pros who code for a living look stuff up. No one knows everything. And so you're basically a hacker now.
