Long-sighted and VR?
Does it work?

I'm explicitly not asking about short-sighted here, I'm long-sighted, I'm guessing I'd need to wear contact lenses to be able to play in VR.

Some VR headsets like the Valve Index allow you to wear glasses while using the headset.

VR projects at a distance so people that are far sighted (cannot see close objects) are ok. Near sighted people will need their glasses.

I heard the opposite is true since the screens are right next to your eyes.

It all depends on the focal length, but you should be able to use it without lens if you're farsighted

Has nothing to do with the physical distance, it's the focal length (focus distance) of the lens which IS NOT right in front of your face.
