What is system & reserved space 50gb?
I have a 300gb SSD drive which is not much but i notice i have 50gb in system&reserved?

There is no "settings" in the right click start menu.

on WIN 10 there is, i am right clicking it now and seeing settings in the pop up list, right clicking windows icon on lower left

If you click on "System & reserved" you will see it tells you some details. Like "System files help windows run properly", "Hibernation file" and "System restore".

You are right. Windows probably changed Control Panel with Settings in update 1803 or 1809. I was using Windows Server 2016 for refference which stil uses the old layout.

System and Reservered is Windows itself as well as all the stuff it needs to properly function, this included things like the system reserved partitions.

I dunno what it all counts exactly which makes it all add up to 50gb on your machine. But I wouldn't worry about it, there is nothing wrong.

You can try running disk cleanup to remove the download cache and Windows.old folders (if any) and see if that makes any difference or not.
