What is "Compact.exe" and should I be worried?
Two things, 1.What the title says and 2. should there be 4 versions of it on my computer?

Can you give some more details? Where did you find these .exe files?

C:/Windows/.../Compact.exe

My defender on my computer also says it is stopping it from making changes in %userprofile%

Compact.exe is part of Window's native compression tool IIRC.

Download Malwarebytes and give your PC a scan.

Okay, I'll tell you later when I do it, it's not urgent. Thanks a lot!

Maybe stop digging around the system then. You have no reason to be snooping around in the Windows folder.

These things belong in the Windows folder. You indeed have 4 of them, 2 32bit ones and 2 64bit ones.

As well as some .mui files refering to these .exe files.

It indeed appears to just be a compression tool.

You could also boot into safe mode, delete all the files you find suspicious, then use Window's file repair to reinstall the files.

Thanks! I am glad it's just a compression tool.
