How does it happen and is there a pattern to when?
^ That advice could fix the problem if the computer is rebooting because it's overheating or something.
But if its plain old just totally random ... that's kind of weird. ALTHO if it's the cpu (processer) fan then even just idling long enough and not really doing much could make it reboot too, of course... sooo.. cleaning the fans all over is a good place to start and totally free to do! <3
My friend's cpu fan wasn't set down properly and her computer constantly was restarting a few minutes after being on. Adding more cpu goo, and putting it down properly, the problem was solved.
correct awnser
random reboots are 99.9% of the times caused by a failing/faulty PSU.
heat issues will shut down the PC but it will not boot up by itself.
other hardware issues: PC either not even post or it will crash to a BSOD or freeze with continues beeping sound.
Does windows shut in the right way down before the restart?
