Windowed Borderless Problem

So I recently bought Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and upon launch I'm getting 1 fps and the frames only change when I alt tab. It's set to windowed borderless mode. My PC is capable of running the game so the PC shouldn't be the problem here. I also tried setting launch options but they don't seen to work.

P.S. basically what I'm trying to do is set fullscreen for the game

i dont know what windowed borderless means. the error is really strange. tell your hardare specs...and software?

I mean if u don't know what it means whats the point in putting the specs. And I said i can run the game for sure. Anyways Ryzen 5 1500x RX 560 and 8 gigs of ram

So I found the GameUserSettings.ini in the AppData\Local\HellbladeGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\ directory. However, the "saved" part may not be there if you haven't even started a game yet. Not sure.

Anyway, I have it on fullscreen and my setting in the file are set as such when it comes to the fullscreen mode:
FullscreenMode=0

LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0
PreferredFullscreenMode=0

The first setting being at the top of the list and the last two being near the bottom.

I checked my file. And while I'm running the game in borderless windowed for LastConfirmedfullscreen and preferredfullscreenmode are = to 1

I don't have "or at least can't find "fullscreenMode setting" in the file.

You can just change the 0 to 1 and see what happens. just make sure to backup the file before you make changes.

Usually if windowed borderless is causing an issue it's due to some game overlay. Make sure you have any framerate counters disabled as well as any hardware monitors turned off.

Alright so none of that seem to work, tried disabling steam overlay (I have no other overlays), the .ini file I put both 1 and 0 still nothing. :/ But I got into the game after 20 mins of alt tabbing to change frames and I went into the menu and set it to fullscreen and it was working fine. But when I exited the game and got in again same problem so it seems that my settings reset and I dont rly want to sit through 20 mins of alt tabbing to play the game.

Thanks for the tip. I had the problem, that the fps would drop periodically every couple seconds even standing around.
Switching from borderless to fullscreen was the solution.
