Our RMA process with Gigabyte normally takes 1 day postal from us to them and 1 day postal return. SO we normally get a replacement within 2-3 days.
However for others it often takes longer up to 4 weeks. But this is again dependign on who you are and where you at.
YOu can return any product bought online with a certain ammount fo time (for EU 14 days, not sure for the US). That you opened the package is irrelevant even that you used Promotion codes. Promotion codes are delievred by the distributer or Gigabyte to the resellers to give with the sale of a product. Its not tied to the product itself and a reseller not the Distributer cares or has the time and efford to check if a code was actually used.
It is a normal practice to send such codes during a sale even if the product is not even accepted or paid yet.
(be aware that abusing that system to buy products and using the promotion codes with the intention to return the produict to recieve free promotion codes is a fraulant action)
Yes, but unfortunately I had it bought with Newegg, who's return policy for GPUs is "non-refundable". They make an exception IF the product has not yet been opened, but I obviously opened it, and used it, which let me know about the issue with the card, which is why I can only RMA it at this point.
longer than that go thru gigabyte
last time iv gone thru gigabyte rma it was fine, just takes a while to ship the items
