I didn't look at small things like how many case fan headers or RGB headers. But they all seem to have four SATA ports and all have one M.2 slot. They also all support 3200MHz RAM,
and all have decent reviews... I suppose you should just go with whatever one you like the look of the most.

I'm gonna stick with the DS3H, just noticed the other two only have 2 ram slots which I'm not comfortable with.

I think 2 slots is fine, good even, 4-way ram costs far too much, 2-way ram is optimal, adding 2 stick of ram to a system with ram already installed is asking for trouble. Better to sell the old and buy new.

Personally I'd want faster than 3200mhz ram support, preferably 3600 or 3800.

get one with 4 dimm slots, 6 sata headers, 1-2 m.2 slots (when populated will disable 1-2 sata headers)
vrm heatsinks if you plan on overclocking

Why, 4 sticks is harder to overclock than 2 sticks, with 4 sticks you might get compatibility issues and most of all AM4 does not support quad channel so the extra 2 slots are not very useful. 2 sticks is better than 4.

You have no idea what you talk about... Having more or less RAM slots have nothing to do with your overclock ability bit does it have any impact on compability.

Also 4 slots does not mean that it should have quad channel support or that it would be 4-Way as you call it. That term does no exist with RAM. Quad channel motherboards have 8 RAM Slots BTW.

2 RAM slots always share the same channel.

Having 4 slots is useful as you can extend the total capacity of RAM and add models later. However 1st and 2nd Generation IMC really sucks

It affects over-clock ability because different memory sticks will not clock the same, with 4 sticks you are limiting yourself to the slowest stick and increasing your chance of having a slow stick.

And are you trying to say that 2-slot boards don't run the memory dual channel? That's clearly not true.
tacoshy 2019년 9월 3일 오전 4시 48분
You overclock through XMP anyway. You just can buy matching Sticks.

And no 2 slot motherboards also have dual channel but they with 4 slots you run the slots in pairs.

With X299 with 4 slots you only have dual channel not quadchannel.

For a bit more maybe you could look at MSI B450M Gaming Plus. It has better VRM cooling than most of the boards you listed.
As for the other guys having their Ram discussion. 4 sticks can achieve lower top speeds when overclocking if you compare it to 2 sticks because there is higher load on the IMC. Though it shouldn't matter much if the kit you are buying is ''Guaranteed'' to hit the speed you are aiming for.

that was only with am3 c2 cpus, their imc would not run 4 dimms faster than 1333
amd solved that issue for am3 c3 cpus and later

also prefer the Gigabyte B450M DS3H, it is the cheapest and has 4 ram slots.

IMHO the extra ram slots come in to play later in life when you re-task the board, and have a pile of old ram sticks you want to mix/match to get something up and running. Or perhaps if you are a bit intoxicated and decide to muscle in a ram stick and break the slot lol...

ASRock's B450M Pro4 is a little bit better than the B450M DS3H.

Reasons:

1. Side/outward pointing SATA ports while the DS3H has them just facing upwards from the board, with one where a GPU would most likely be

2. Better rear I/O;
DS3H only has 4 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, 4 2.0 ports, and no VGA or USB-C
Pro4 has 4 3.1 Gen1, 2 USB 3.1 Gen2, along with USB-C and a VGA port

3. B450M Pro4 has 2 M.2 slots (One PCI-e 3x4, one SATA) while the DS3H only has one. SATA interface M.2s are still the same price and it's 2 less cables to manage, and it's good for smaller cases.

4. Additional headers for LED/RGB components; DS3H only has one LED_CPU header, while Pro4 has the same header in addition to an ARGB supported header, and non addressable header as well

5. Fan support;
DS3H only has one system fan header while Pro4 has 3, with support for pumps.

6. Pro4 has better VRM heatsinks and has a heatsink for the SOC phases, while DS3H has no heatsink for those phases at all.

7. Overall, the Pro4 has a better designed board layout. Every decision they made on where to put things makes a little bit more sense.

8. Price; Pro4 is usually only a few dollars to 10 dollars more. It's the better board by a fair bit.

TL;DR
There is no better low budget B450 motherboard than the ASRock B450M Pro4. It's as good as it gets if you have a tighter budget and won't want to spend too much or too little on the board.

^ have to agree, my 2600x is sitting in a B450M-Pro4 at this very moment!
