cheap vs expensive mouse.
I currently have a really cheap mouse.
https://www.amazon.com/TeckNet-Raptor-Gaming-Button-Non-programmable/dp/B00E290JRE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483325323&sr=8-2&keywords=tecknet+mouse

and while it feels cheap it works fine.

Would i notice any significant differnces if i got a new more expensive mouse. like $30-50 for non competative gaming? Also what mouse would you recomend for pretty small hands.

Yes of course you would experience change, like tracking speed. Something like the G402 mouse from Logitech will be quicker to process movements which is crucial in fps or 3rd person shooter.

I'd say you would notice a difference. When it comes to any for of controllers, be it keyboard, mouse, gamepad, steering wheel and so on, you really do get what you pay for.

I've got a SteelSeries Rival 700, is it cheap? no.. Is it worth it? most cases no... Is it nice? Yes! but there are alot of awesome mice that are cheap and feels and are awesome in everyway but mayby arent as high quality.

Moderately expensive mice will give you a significant difference in accuracy over a cheapo mouse due to the higher DPI. Make sure you get a very high DPI mouse and you will feel the difference.

IMO the Rival 100 is still in the "cheap mouse" category. Compared to something like the Logitech G502 with 12k DPI, it only has 4k DPI. It's worth the extra $20 to upgrade.

Higher DPI does not equal better. It depends on what you're using it for because in FPS games like CSGO you generally want lower DPI unless you're a noob and want to do 360s.

The sweet spot is midrange mice. Super expensive aren't worth the money, super cheap have poor sensors. My favourite is the Saitek Cyborg RAT, with adjustable DPI and a great sensor. It's a very comfortable mouse and mine has lasted me two full years of daily gaming.
You shouldn't think of it as "paying too much" for a mouse. It's an investment. You will literally use it everyday for hours. It's worth a few extra dollars. What's that? Just a few more hours worth of work?

An expensive mouse vs a cheap, dollar store one is worlds apart in quality. Durability, sensors, features, buttons. My personal mouse is the G502 and it's the absolute best mouse I ever used. Easily worth the $80 price tag.

Riley is right, you're using this thing every day. You may as well buy one that's comfortable and durable.

Make sure you try before you buy, mice are very personal and what one person finds comfortable might hunt another's hands. I would start with classics like the G502, if that doesn't work expand your search. Don't ignore wierd shaped mice, some of the most comfortable mice I've held are wierd mutants like the Saitek RAT.

And now it's only $50.

I hear ya , some ppl cant justify spending 40+ bucks on a mouse cause they look at it like, " Well it just a mouse " I just need to point a click with it , but like stated by others when spending a few extra bucks it can go a long way with many advantages, like 8-9 years ago I was at the same crossroad and ended up spending $50 bucks on my mouse, a Logitech MX518 and believe it or not its still my go to mouse today with literally over 10k hours of gaming and everyday use and still it performs as good as the day I 1st plugged it in ..

the steel series rival 100 got here the other day and its really good. I have really small hands and they mouse is the perfect size. its super comphy and have no need for more than the 4k dpi because im currently using under 2k and its fine. Thanks for all the help everyone and while the g502 looks great the rival 100 is more than enough especially considering the most competitive game I play is overwatch quick play.
