How do I turn it on then?

Use Aorus Graphic Engine?

Also depends on what models. Older gen doesn't have LED.

For the aorus models there is an app that can be downloaded from the support page for the card.

But as to led, I'd lean towards a "depends on the individual model".

edit : for windforce the app is GIGABYTE XTREME ENGINE

Aorus Graphics Engine now support ALL Gigabyte GPU. Aorus is just a "gaming" brand for Gigabyte. I use AGE on my G1 Gaming GTX 1080 (which is just Windforce better binned card).

Which GPU do you have. If I recall the 980ti Windforce didn't have any leds where as the G1 gaming did.

I am not sure in the 1070 windforce has any leds either.

If this is your card, it does not have LED

mine only has a single LED light to show if the card is installed correcrly .. if you mean RGB lighting yes it is available on some of the high end models

not the plain Windforce 2\ 6 gig oc model

you can see the models here https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GeForce%C2%AE-GTX-10-Series

this is the card i have that has no RGB lights
https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1060WF2-6GD#kf

looks like its only available on the aorus models which are more expensive cards

I know this post is quite old but anyways...
My gtx1070 Windforce OC (see link: https://www.amazon.de/Gigabyte-GeForce-GTX-1070-WINDFORCE/dp/B01HRYEQBU ) is also not lighting up even when I try to set it up in the Gigabyte "xtreme gaming" software. I even have the possibility to change style and variation of the effects, but when looking at the card itself it doesn't noteably light up. A picture of the interface can be found here: https://prnt.sc/m2dhnx

I don't see anything on that page that would indicate LED.

Did a quick search on the Q&A page of your link. Found this result:

Q: Does the card have led's? thanks
A: No she owns no leds

You may just be SOL on the lights.

You can get an LED light strip for a few bucks I guess.
