Netgear router PLEASE HELP
Hello, i was wondering if you guys could help me reduce the amount of bandwith my samsung smart tv gets. Whenever somebody watches netflix it consumes all the bandwith and makes playing online gaming impossible. When no body is on netflix or a streaming service i top out at 50 -60 ping but right when they turn on the streaming service my ping tops out at around 300-500 ping. I have the netgear r6300 router.

What speed is your internet connection and how are your pc and tv connected to the network?

Have you tried setting the MAC of your PC as High priority and MAC address of TV as Normal priority?

Haven't looked into this particular model, but most router will allow you to configure connection parameters for any linked devices through accessing the router configuration page as admin.

Be warned though, over limiting the bandwidth may lead to severe delay or pixelation to the video stream, and some very angry family members.

i havent found this in the router settings but there is a "uplink bandwith maximum" it is currently at 256 kbps, should i turn that up?
