SLI 1080TI (strix OC) and 3x1440p

Yes.

Unless you plan on playing games on all 3 monitors at the same time you could drop down to a GTX 1080.

it's for playing racing games, and my monitors will be 144hz, i have already one gtx 1080ti, i will uprgrade not downgrade :D

Racing games are not that demanding. Most games don't support SLI anyway.

yes i think it's the major problem, SLI is not supported by all games.

-forza horizon 3 : not supported
-dirt 4 : not supported
-dirt rally supported
-Forza 7 : not supported
-PC 2 supported (i hope)
-Fi 2017 ( i don't know)

No get 60hz you are not going to get close to 144fps on 3x 1440p.

i found solution,i will buy 3x2560*1080 = exactly 3840*2160 so no need two 1080ti.
i will try triple Ultra wide :D

You couldn't of tried it yet then. I've have a multi monitor setup which I used to use for driving and flight sim games. The vive makes that setup seem ♥♥♥♥♥ as you have a full 360 degree view plus everything is to scale. Vive plus racing seat and wheel setup is superb.

i tested too, i searched my handbrake + buttons, i can't see them with VR, after 5min, i sold it on ebay.

i doubt,
my gtx 1080ti is very good at 4k = 3840*2160, but in very heavy game need to play high, not ultra...
and 3x1440p is more pixels....
so 1080 is very outdated...

Yeah you would need to lower some settings, but you can definitely do triple 1440p.

really depends on the game. Not sure if all the racing game support SLI. And 3x 1440p equals 1.5x 4k. Running something demanding at 144fps at 4K is already not possible for a single 1080 Ti. Games liek ME:A doesnt even always get 60 fps. and know you need 50% more pixel to calculate... dont see the 144Hz garunteed here
